Notes: “This Dorrigo National Park Interpretation
Plan has been influenced by a desire to tell stories of people
and forests, as well of natural history. These are not modest
stories in the main, but ones of a big landscape, complex forests
and eons of evolutionary change.
They are also
stories of human interaction, sometimes profoundly impacting on
the land, reaching back an almost inconceivable period of time.
The interpretation therefore should have a dignity about it and
a respect for this grandeur.
This is not to
say that intimate, mundane or humourous stories have no place,
but rather that they exist within a grand setting.” (Introduction
by Rosemary Simons from the Interpretation Plan)
